Farhan Karim
Farhan Karim is a Harvard, McGill and University of London graduate. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, education management, communications and writing. He brings an international perspective having worked and lived in Europe, East Africa, Central Asia, and North America. Farhan is currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Expertise in Communications and Policy
Farhan’s expertise in the field of communication, policy analysis, and research comes from having worked as a Research Associate for one of the world’s largest private development agencies where he was responsible for global media analysis, developing briefs for executive leadership as it concerned geo-political events, as well as for drafting correspondence and memoranda on a variety of special issues.
His professional experience is supplemented with specialised training. Farhan also has a masters degree in Global Media and Communications from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) the world’s leading institute for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Farhan is also certified teacher and has a Bachelor of Education and Curriculum Instruction from Simon Fraser University, and a master’s degree in International and Comparative Education Policy from Harvard. His experience in education includes teaching, curriculum development, with a focus in social emotional learning, and climate change education.
